The Climate Imperative: Meeting the Moment – A Special Earth Day Conversation

April 21 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

We can already see the effects of a changing climate. Last year saw record numbers of hurricanes and wildfires and was the worst year for polar ice melt. Research leaders around the world believe that the next decade will require unprecedented, powerful action to curb greenhouse gas emissions and avoid the most catastrophic climate impacts.

Jeff Berardelli, CBS News meteorologist and climate specialist, will moderate a discussion with Alex Halliday, Director of Columbia University’s Earth Institute, and Maureen Raymo, Interim Director, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Sponsored by Columbia University’s Earth Institute and Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.

(Start time is 3:00 Pacific time/6:00 pm Eastern time.)
