Earth Day Climate Action Town Hall with CA State Sen. Wiener

California State Senator Scott Wiener–along with our Senator Monique Limon– sponsored SB467 which proposed to ban fracking and steam injection drilling and to establish 2500ft setbacks from fossil fuel drilling and homes, schools and healthcare facilities. The bill was voted down in it’s first committee hearing, but a scaled-back version that would mandate setbacks will be voted on again.
