April 29 @ 4:00 pmFree
The Center for Biological Diversity is teaming up with staff from Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park to present the documentary, Our Gorongosa. In the film a young Mozambican elephant ecologist shares the inspiring story of how the park is becoming a new model for wildlife conservation and community development in Africa, with a special focus on educating girls and empowering women. Watch the film at your convenience.
Then join the “Saving Life on Earth” webinar on Thursday, April 29 at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET. The webinar will feature a discussion and Q&A with Larissa Sousa, the associate director for the park’s communications department, along with the Center’s Population and Sustainability Campaigner Kelley Dennings and Sara Inés Lara with Women for Conservation. We’ll learn how to support women’s empowerment through increased education, bodily autonomy and economic opportunities.
