September 9, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

We want to be able to continue our planet preserving work, so we need to remain healthy grandmothers – which is why this is on our calendar of events. The idea of putting your oxygen mask on before putting one on your child.

“Women’s bodies are not an elective.” EmilyJacobs, PhD, UCSB neuroscientist, shares her research on women’s brains during major hormonal transitions, including pregnancy and menopause. The event, at Direct Relief’s Hatch Hall, will strive to bring together scientific and medical experts and community advocates to foster connections and inspire action around improving women’s health in Santa Barbara. Discussion moderated by founder of Santa Barbara Women’s Health Coalition, Katrina Mitchell, MD, local breast surgeon.

There will be a reception after the talk.
