While climate activists scored some big wins in the 2023 California legislative session (notably the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act), other key laws were derailed or postponed in the face of powerful pushback from the fossil fuel industry and its allies like the California Chamber of Commerce. The 2024 California legislative session presents the next big opportunity for progress on climate in California.

The key to success in 2024 begins with early preparation, goal setting, and planning. What is it we want to accomplish? What’s possible? Who do we need to get on board to achieve more victories for future generations? And most importantly, let’s get busy!
