Bringing Back Our Wetland Documentary Screening

Join SBPL and Santa Barbara Urban Creeks Council for a special screening of the film “Bringing Back Our Wetland” for SB Creek Week. “Bringing Back Our Wetland” is a new documentary about about the restoration of the North Campus Open Space at UC Santa Barbara. Directed by Michael Love, “Bringing Back Our Wetland” was filmed over nearly 10 years and follows Dr. Lisa Stratton, director of ecosystem management at UCSB’s Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration, and her project to restore the  Devereux Slough back to the wetlands it was before conversion to a golf course in the 1960s. Following the film, Dr. Lisa Stratton will be available for audience questions.
