Beyond 1.5 – Kaneb Virtual Lecture Series – September 22

September 22 @ 12:00 pm

“Internalizing Risk: What 1.5C (and beyond) looks like”

Human activities to date have kicked off unprecedented global warming and committed us to hitting the 1.5℃ mark early next decade. The question is: what happens after that? Do we reverse course, stabilize, or keep warming? We must confront what lies Beyond 1.5℃ – the risks and choices we face as we shape our climate future. Our fall event series invites you to do just that, guided by experts and thought leaders from across Woodwell’s global network.

This hard-hitting first lecture in the series brings into sharp relief the near-term physical, socioeconomic, and geopolitical risks of continued warming, and spotlights the power of internalizing climate risk for driving change in public- and private-sector decision-making.
Register for the first lecture on September 22. (3:00 pm Eastern time.)
