2022 Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival

April 23 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Be part of the solution. This one-day event celebrates the climate leaders who are stepping up to do the critical work needed to combat the climate crisis. There will be programs on the Arlington Stage from 10am to 5pm, display tables with climate-focused action in front of the theater (outdoors), and a Green Car Show in the parking lot behind the theater. Schedule of free daytime events and ticketed evening concert:

  • 10:00 a.m – Welcome: Emcee Eric Cardenas, CEO of LOACOM. Opening remarks: Community Environmental Council CEO Sigrid Wright.

  • 10:15 a.m. – Chumash Blessing by Art Cisneros

  • 11:00 a.m. – Community Environmental Council’s Reverse, Repair, Protect mission presented by CEC Policy Director Michael Chiacos

  • 12 noon – Short films from SBC Food Action Network, Wildling Museum, NOAA and The Sea League/Los Padres Forest Watch

  • 1:00 p.m. – Eat Less Water Challenge presented by Florencia Ramirez

  • 1:15 p.m. – Climate and Culture: Wildling Museum Poetry Contest Winners, Santa Barbara Channelkeeper Student Art Show Winners, Environmental Alliance of Santa Barbara County Museums and reveal of 2nd Annual Earth Day Mural

  • 1:45 p.m. – Recycled Fashion Show featuring secondhand clothing, organized by UCSB students

  • 2:30 p.m. – Environmental Hero Awards Ceremony

  • 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Annual Climate Leadership Summit

  • 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Green Car and E-bike Show located behind the theater

  • 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Display tables in front of theatre featuring ways to get involved

  • 7:30 p.m. – Evening concert featuring local favorites Jackson Gillies Trio, Alastair Greene and No Simple Highway. This is a separate, ticketed event. (Buy Concert Tickets Here.)
