Fearless Grandmothers Quietly Busy

Lately some of the Fearless Grandmothers have been working with UCSB students speaking out against the never-ending nightmare of the Sable pipeline restart. Various lawsuits are pending (see here and here),  Sable maintains its renegade posture, but the students are raising their brave voices in defense of the environment and their own future.

Other Grandmothers have been working on the Make Polluters Pay campaign and talking with electeds.

Still others have been working with partners from the Community Environmental Council, Sierra Club, City of Santa Barbara, Clean Coalition and more, to plan a local event for SUN Day, part of a national celebration of the power of renewable energy on Sept 21.

We have also been involved with some talented UCSB film students who are creating environmental documentaries. Pictured above are some of the film students with a Grandmother.
